Phase 2a Queensville Bridge

From June 15, we will be carrying out essential refurbishment works to the Queensville Railway bridge. Phase 2a works will consist of steelwork repairs to bridge girders, application of a new protective paint system, clearing away vegetation and re-pointing of brickwork. 

To minimise disruption, there will be approximately 10 individual Saturday night/Sunday morning closures of the railway to facilitate works, the dates of which are listed below:

  • 24/08/2024
  • 07/09/2024
  • 21/09/2024
  • 05/10/2024
  • 19/10/2024

On these dates working hours will be between 11.45pm on Saturday to 8.35am on Sunday.

 Access to homes and shops along the Lichfield Road and Queensville shall be maintained throughout.    

During some of the work dates there will be overnight temporary traffic lights on A34 Lichfield Road over the bridge.

Times of the temporary traffic control will align to the working hours given above
